The Story
Sencha Green Tea
Similar to our Fancy Sencha Organic just a non-organic version. This is the “classic green tea”. It comes from the Chinese Anhui province, providing a distinctly soft, mild, sweet flavour when brewed. Like most types of Green Tea, it also has a delectable grassiness.
Cup Colour: chartreuse.
Brewing time: Use freshly drawn water at 80C and steep/brew for 2 to 3 minutes.
If you are new to green teas, then Chun Mee, Gunpowder, or Sencha are the best places to start, but always remember to use water at 80C, boiling water kills the green tea flavour.
